hard to believe our babies have grown
up so fast.
I got my embroidery machine out [after
such a long time in hiding.  I embroidered
their initial on the vest.
Happy Birthday Girls..

Thanksgiving and  Christmas Clean up Plans
are still underway.. I got all the kitchen cabinets
washed - inside and out. [wow..I am proud this
is done!!].  Living room-- washed curtains [and
hung outside to dry]. Wiped the walls down,
wiped the couch/chairs with a damp cloth.
Now... I will be moving on to the bedrooms.

Holiday Plans
There is only 19 days until
Thanksgiving.. I hope to have all the
"extra" cleaning done before this holiday.
I have made my menu plans- I have bought
the turkey/ but need one more grocery store
shopping trip to pick up a  few items.
There is only 50 days until Christmas.. so many
to do  list on my planning sheet... Must get
to work..

Christmas shopping-- have you began your shopping?
Sad to say---- I have not bought the first thing!!
Since the grandchildren have gotten older,  money
seems to be the gift of choice..  Not so fun/ but
want to make them happy.☺

Have a great day and wishing you the best, as
you make preparations for your holidays.

Pillow wraps...[Have you seen these floating
around Pintrest and Etsy?] I doubled this

Sewing Birthday Presents for Twin Grandaughters

Sisters Forever [Frozen] Skirts  for
Amy and Ashlee

Chevron    Purse for Amy

Happy 10 th Birthday Amy & Ashlee

So hard to believe the girls turned 10 yrs old
this month.. They love the movie Frozen.. I found
this  fabric, and it was barely enough for the 2
skirts. I bought  matching rtw t-shirts  to go with
them. I also made Amy a chevron initial purse.
Ashlee doesn't like purses, so I bought her another
present.. Also, got the girls outfits for their
                          American Girl dolls.

Sewing... I have done a  few sewing things,  a tunic
for me,  an initial pillow .. Just need to photograph
them.  Sorry for the lack of post, I  got in a lull, after
Callie got sick.. But , I am hoping to get to sewing
                     more real soon..Miss it!!!

Update on Callie... She went back to Children's Hospital
yesterday, and  had another EEG and blood work.. Have
not heard from blood work..But the EEG was normal.
Meaning the seizure meds is working.. She is still  having
some problems, but we thank God for this news.. Please
continue to pray for her. and thank you all for your
                prayers..

Fixing PJ's--Why You Should Never Buy Christmas Gifts Early?

                                                    Fixing Callie's Pj's

I have 6 grandchildren to buy Christmas for.. So..what does a good
Grandma do? Well, all through the year, as she sees things, they will
like, she buys and puts away until Christmas..[Hint: you always buy
clothing, a size bigger- works every time=well that is until this year!!!]

Cute Cozy Pink Flannel Pj's
{oops-- Callie hit a growth spurt and  got
much taller!!]

So, what does Maw do? I head to Wal mart , with
too- short pj's in hand, to try and match some flannel
to these.

Chevron Pocket Initial T-shirts for the Grandkids

Chevron Pockets with Embroidered Initials

My granddaughters wanted me to Embroidery their
initials on some chevron pockets. I had several colors
of the chevron fabrics in my stash.. So they
went and bought the t-shirts and we selected
the fabric and matching embroidery thread to
make the shirts.
I embroidered their initials on the chevron fabric, first, then
centered the initials  and cut out and made the pockets.

I used approximately 1 yd of fabric from
my stash.. Thus  working on  my stash busting challenge.

Coming soon:  I have a  dress for myself coming soon,
I used a vintage pattern that I have used before, [I
wanted  a quick/easy sew]. I also, used fabric
from my stash.. I have to put the zipper in and
hem it, and it will be ready to post.
