Ginger skirt- Used 2 yds Fabric from Stash
The Violet Colette blouse was made earlier.
This was a quick sew.. I really needed to sew something.
I have really missed it.
Now, let me explain ,why I haven't blogged or sewed!!!
We have decided to sale our house, when or if it sales,
move into Kenny's deer camp, until we can build
a house out there!!!
Now, this has led to some major work.. We had our
ceramic floors in the kitchen and hall , ripped out and wood
laminated floors installed.. [what a mess they made!!!'} . We put
in new french doors, 2 new doors, utility rooms on the carport.
Trying to spruce the place up.
I also painted our bedroom, while in the midst of it,
I began to have really rough pain.. I thought
I might be delivering my third child [oh what a nightmare
at this age,ha]. Kidney stone./ went to the doctor, it
was too big to pass, so they had to go in and get it.
Now, I have a stint in.. I hope to get it out real soon.
The doctor said, 2-3 weeks???
Hopefully, things will get better real soon. And I will be
able to return to my blogging /sewing self.. |
I love that blouse!
ReplyDeleteThank you Ellie..I love that pattern, and have made several of those blouses.
DeleteOh dear! It sounds like you've hit a busy spot. I hope your health problems will be resolved soon; that doesn't sound fun at all.
ReplyDeleteThe skirt is beautiful. I hope it cheered you up!
It has been extremely busy around here...
DeleteThank you.I so enjoyed making the skirt, I think--- this has been the longest non- sewing period in a long time... Hope to do some more easy projects.. -no time for big ones]. It is super easy , and comfortable to wear.
Oh, dear Judy, I am so sorry to hear about your recent illness! I will be praying that you are feeling better soon. You certainly have had a busy summer...and so exciting! Selling your house!!! Wow! How far away is Kenny's deer camp? I'm so happy for the both of you...I hope that your home sells quickly and that you can get settled before winter sets in.
ReplyDeleteLove you!

DeleteI hope to get the stint out tomorrow..Know I will feel better then.. Thank you for missing me..
Oh dear, take very good care of yourself. I thin resting near your sewing machine would help... Maybe with material running under the pressure foot - yep that should make you feel better. :-) Seriously do take care.

DeleteSo that is what you have been up to. Sorry to hear about the kidney stone - I hope this is the first and last episode you have. And great excitement, selling and moving, but always a lot of work. No wonder you have not done much sewing - how frustrating for you - but the move is probably going to be wonderful (when it is all over). Next year I have to resume a busy life too - so we must somehow encourage each other to find a few minutes a day to sew :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Sarahliz, WE sew miss our sewing when life gets busy.. I agree , encouragement when we get busy, is the best !!!
