Collections..Madame Alexander Dolls

Tiny Madame Alexander Dolls
[Mcdonalds Toys]

Do you ever wonder about the friends you make on blogs? What are
they really like? What do they enjoy doing,other than sewing/crafting?

I was dusting today and  decided to take a quick photo of my dolls.. Now,
you didn't know that this "old Girl"  likes dolls, Did you?

 Over the past few years, Mcdonalds will put out a collection of
Madame Alexander dolls in their happy meals. When I saw my grandkids
playing with them, I just fell in love with them.. They are sooo cute.I
started saving them every time ,they came out. Soon, I had so
many, I had to buy a curio cabinet to hold them..ha

This is just a little of what I collect. I will share more on another day..

    These are darling! Our McDonald's has never had such lovely toys in their happy meals! Very cute collection and you know your grandchildren will love them.

    Thank you.. I was so shocked when one of my grandkids came in with a happy meal, and they had these dolls..,My daughter told me, they have a series of 6-8 every time they offer them..[I never buy happy meals , so I didn't know].. So now.. when I find out they have them, I go and start trying to get them.ha]

      Thank you Dianna.. My grandaughters love them too.. Now, that I have collected all these..THey wish They had of kept all the ones they got with happy meals.ha [I don't buy happy meals, I just go in and buy the dolls...]

    I see these sweet dolls from time to time in the thrift shops. I too love dolls,but am in the process of weeding through my collections...its hard choosing what can stay and what must go. I do hope you will share more of your collections. I love seeing what others collect. There are many,many doll collectors in blog land and I always love visiting their blogs. Blessings

    We have three of those! (the bride, and I can't remember the other two as they are in a toy box somewhere!) We saw the advertisement on t.v. late and by the time we did a couple trips to McDonald's, they were sold out after we got our three. I was just at McDonald's today with my youngest, and I was looking at the cheap toys they have now, and I had mentioned these dolls to my daughter..."remember when we got those madame alexander dolls"! Coincidence!

    Coincidence.. funny isn't it?
    I have collected these over several years..They do a new set ever so often.
    When I hear about them, i will go to my Mcdonalds and instead of buying the happymeals trying to get them, I will just buy the dolls ..Some times they charge me $1.49 and sometimes $1.99, I guess depending on who is working?? ha. Normally, they have a box of them, and I just tell them, I want every different one they have.. and the funny thing is..one of the Mcdonalds will sell them, and the other mcdonalds , says you have to buy a happy meal???

    Oh thankyou! I will try just buying them next time! And I appreciated hearing about your husband's crown :) This is why I miss my old dentist, who is retiring (young ..he is not really old but under 60)...he would do things in small steps and just suggest things to do in the future, never springing expenses on us. I will look at more of your blog tomorrow...your sewing is beautiful!

    My 10 year old collects Madame Alexander dolls too. We find them ay flea markets. They are so pretty!

      Justine, they are so cute.. They have such sweet faces [you know, your little girl has a madeame alexander doll face, as did my daughter when she was little..so pretty.ha]
      I didn't intend to collect them. It just kinda happened.lol

    I've been a doll collector from way back. I love the Gene dolls and Robert Tonner fashion dolls.

    Oh, Judy, another thing we have in common! I have a lovely doll collection from way back...and I love making dolls. But I hadn't seen any of these dolls since all my guys are a bit too big for "happy meals"! LOL! Do you have any other dolls that you collect?

      Laura, we are too much alike.lol.. Collecting dolls is so fun.. I do have alot of them. I have some ceramic dolls, I have some baby dolls,barbie dolls and musical dolls. [I have entirely too much stuff'Junk".ha]
