The fabric was from my stash, A cotton blend with some stretch,
which I found at the flea market a couple years ago.. My intentions
was for this to be a muslin, But it was so comfortable, I decided
to wear it to town to run errands today.. It will definitely be a
wearable muslin. And I will be making another one. Love the two
front pockets.
Sarah Liz, the MAGAM challenge, author, made this pattern
awhile back.. It was so cute, that I went and bought the pattern..
So happy , she shared this pattern.
Happy sewing.

DeleteLove the skirt, dear friend! I, too, am a big fan of pockets...I need them for clothespins, chicken eggs...you name it! That's why I often wear an apron around the house and yard. By the way, I want to come play in your tree house out back! What fun that would be!

Judy this is such a nice skirt. And I love the fabric, it says summer to me! It's very pretty and looks like its really easy to wear (bonus points). I also love your backyard, is that a tree house in the back? It looks so cute like we would have hung out there as girls and giggled a lot!
ReplyDeleteThank you Cathe. Did you remember this fabric? I found it at the flea market a long time ago.. It is super comfortable and the fabric washes really well.
DeleteThat is the play center that Kenny built for the grandkids.[are you kidding, you and i would probably hang out there and giggle now.lol]
Love it that you "thought" this was a muslin. You got it right the first time on this one, the fit and the fabric. I too love a skirt with pockets and you can't beat comfortable!!
