This book is a plus size book, however it starts at a size 14
which works for me.. After reading this book, it made
me realize  I need to do some basic  garments.
Mix and Match wardrobe.. This book offers
4 patterns.
I bought some fabrics  to work on a basic wardrobe.I won't be
using  just these patterns , but will stick with the
mix and match theme. [NEXT post will  include
some fabric photos, and ideas.. Still working
on the  different pattern ideas..

  1. I love the idea of mix and match. Some day I plan to do some serious wardrobe consolidation and either make some timeless basics or alter some thrifted clothes. Maybe 1/3 of my clothes I realize I hardly ever wear but it's usually because I don't know what to wear it with!
    Blessings!

  7. Looks like a good book! I have found it helpful to have some basics that in my heading I label "boring" but they mix and match wonderfully with some of the wild fabric choices I like to include in statement pieces. Have fun with it and I'll be watching!

  8. More projects...but, oh so worthwhile! Love the fact that it will coordinate all things; perhaps we should all look at our wardrobes with that attitude. Most of us wear the same things over and over. Comfort, ladylike and a flattering and modest style is what inspires me, and sloppy 'jammie style' shouldn't start til after supper. Putting our best foot forward should also relate to when we are at home! Looking forward to your personal spin on these garments....Deedy

  9. I have blogged about this book - I am really inspired by the combinations based upon four basic patterns. I know some of the garments are a little dated, but I love this book! I have made the blouse about 6 times - with adjustments to fit me, and the skirt is similar to a gored one that I already use. I look forward to seeing what you make!
