Wow, way to go! I'm always amazed how greens cook down to nothing.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that soooo true.... We picked them, a hugh sack, I washed and picked them, and it was a bunch..BUt. they went to nothing.lol, I ended up cooking some for supper, and putting up 2 dishes [butter bowls,ha]. I will pick more before frost hits them..
ReplyDeleteMy tummy just growled!! LOL I am not a greens eater, either but the rest of the family LOVE them.
ReplyDeleteI want some cornbread!! LOL I wonder if I have any cornmeal left... ;)
Ha,ha,ha... Stacy, I like the cornbread too..Just add butter and I can eat it all by itself. GOOD!!!
DeleteGreens? Well, never grew them, but have received some, and actually bought them a couple of times when my tummy just craved something green, semi-bitter and full of nutrition. Did get some peppered bacon yesterday. Think'n cornbread and what-ever-that-is dark-green someone gave me yesterday will make a good Sat. p.m. supper! (I'm from the N.E, and we tend to homebaked beans for Sat. supper. Oh, and apple something, especially with extra sharp white cheddar cheese (on the side). I need to give you my recipe for Easy Cheesy Apple Pie!!
ReplyDeleteNow... your idea of a Saturday supper , sounds much better than the turnip green meal that I did for Kenny.lol Isn't it strange that depending on where you live..your eating is different..ha
ReplyDeletePlease send me the Cheesy apple pie recipe. Kenny's favorite desert is apple pie.. And I love cheddar.. so this sounds yummy
