                                  Emily's Mission--

               Emily's Dream is coming true today-Oct.10- 2016

Emily is taking her mission of  " Giving a new dress
to each little girl at the Children's Home".. She is
taking  the dresses , that volunteers  made for her, to
the children  today. She is beyond excited.. So thankful,
and appreciative of each person who sewed for the
               children.

One of the special people who made dresses was
Vickie . She is a very sweet and caring person, who
volunteered to  help Emily with this project.. Thank
You  Vickie from Me, Emily and the sweet little
girls at the Children's Home. Please go and check
out her blog.. She  shares such wonderful   tips/
              savings /recipes, etc.

  2. What a lovely idea. What kind of Children's Home is it? We don't have such things here any more, children are fostered into families so I am intrigued.

    1. Thank you Maryanne.. This childrens home is about 2 hours away..It is a home, that takes children that have been abandoned or abused or the families are having a hard time right now [in some cases , the kids get to reunite with their parents, when things are improved] Some of the kids will find adoptive homes.. So, it is an array of all kinds of children.
Emily is so excited about this project, I hope she will be able to continue to help these kids. They have near 100 girls right now, in different ages.

  6. What a sweet and caring daughter Emily is, with such a big heart. You have to be one proud momma! Will they be making more dresses, and if so can fabric be donated? If so I would be interested in sending some fabric, just let me know.

  7. Thank you to Emily and all who helped her with this project. I am sure the girls at the home are so happy to receive the dresses. Are there any specifications as to the type of fabric? 100% cotton, cotton/polyester blend, etc.? Also, any yardage specifications? Please let me know. My sewing skills leave much to be desired, but I do have a fabric stash. Thanks again, Judy.
