Simplicity 5104.. oop |
Two pillowcase dresses for Emily's Mission. Emily is taking dresses to a children's home close to the college, she will be attending this fall. She wants to take the dresses in early spring , so the small girls will have summer dresses. She really loves this ministry. I would like to thank Dianne from http://rememberingoz.blogspot.com/ for her kindness. She donated lots of fabric for Emily's mission, Emily and I both appreciate it so much.. My daughter in law [Gina], will help me make dresses/skirts ,etc for the mission. Please check out Dianne's blog..She sews and makes beautiful things.. Hope you each have a wonderful week, as we start a new year.. I am making a new budget, doing lots of de-cluttering and organizing. |
Oh, that is such o lovely outfit. Wish your closet was closer!! Been thinking of some print(and plain) casual sewing for myself for spring but we have 2 1/2 months of flannel and 100% wool to wear yet; my bathrobe is actually wool. Crazy? Yes, but a thrifted and ancient find I've worn for ages. Sweet Emily. How those girls will be blessed..... xxoo Deedy

DeleteI am enjoying sewing this new year.. I am working on Emily [granddaughter] a Valentines day dress. It is lots of fun, and we are having fun with it. She picked out the fabric from my stash, and we have been working on the fit. of the pattern she chose. Nice to spend time with her.. I also have a blouse in the works for me.. So lots of sewing on my table.. And I am enjoying it..
This is a darling outfit. I love the skirt and will look that pattern up. I'm a skirt wearer too. Although it's been so cold and snowy that jeans have been my go to outfit of late. :-)
