De-Stashing Sew a Long 2013

Sarah Liz , has organized a De-stash sew along. It will
start on June 1 and run through December 31, 2013.
It is a very laid back, no strick rules.  Us fabric/pattern
hoarders, hope it will encourage us to use our
beautiful fabrics/patterns, instead of buying more?
I posted on that blog . Check it out.

    1. Diana,
I am so excited about this sew along.. I am hoping it will help me , to use up some of my stash.. I buy fabrics when I find them on sale.. [When I first started doing it, I thought it would save me money from paying full price.. But, I think I have went overboard,ha].

    1. Charlotte,
Check out the blog, Sarah is really nice, and she set up a blog so we can post and talk to each other [kinda like sew weekly].. And it is no strict sew along, where you have to make so many items, and use a certain number of fabrics/patterns.. It's all at your own pace.. Great idea, and some nice ladies have joined in.. Would love to have you join too.

  3. I'm also destashing. I know you from Mrs. Mordecas blog and was wondering if you ever do fabric roses, and how? I tried some online tutorials, and all were epic fails.

    1. Hi Danielle, so proud you stopped by... Love Mrs. Mordecas' blog. Sorry, but I haven't done the fabric roses. My mom use to do them.. They are so pretty.. Wish I would have learned.

  4. There was this huge piece of ugly soft velvet something that I thought was a fitted sheet. I ended up cutting it up for pillow stuffing as I have a lot of home decor fabrics in small pieces. As I was cutting it up, it seemed like there were fitted sheet corners everywhere and in the most random places! After I finished (made such soft stuffing!) I had to call my mom and ask what WAS that thing? Haha it was a cover for a recliner chair.

  5. Dear Sew Blessed,
Is there any way you could increase the size of your font. It really shows up tiny on my computer. This may just be me... Just wondering as I love your blog. Again this may be me.

I increased the size.. Hope this helps.. Let me know, if it doesn't, I will try to increase more.. [sorry , I am computer dumb, so keeping this blog right...just doesn't happen.lol] It probably isn't just your computer, I noticed that it seemed smaller, I probably did it--- pushing buttons that I didn't know what I was doing.ha Thanks for letting me know.

  9. I'm joining for sure! I'm trying so hard not to buy any fabric I can't use right away and instead use what I've got.
Thank you so much for the comments you left. I've contacted Google to let them know of the problems with my Sew Passionista blog. We'll see!
