Double Check...before you- Embroider Blouses for Twins

School Uniform Blouses for Twin Granddaughters

OK...so your wondering, what does this title mean?
Let me explain:   The girls have went to this
Christian school all this school year. My son is
a preacher , and they just moved to this new church,
and thus found this school for the kids. They had
to wear uniforms.. Which really gets old. Polo tops
is  it!!! The rules are --all blouses /dresses must
have sleeves/collars  and have nothing on them.
However, we just found out,  they can have the
school name embroidered on them. .YEA!!
SO
Maw comes to the rescue...  I made them these cute
little cotton blouses [in their school colors]. The name
of the school is Grace Christian School. Well, I
didn't check with them first, before embroidering ??
Mistake... I embroidered the initials  -G C A
Well, I thought it was Grace Christian Acadamy , but
no, it's Grace Christian School.. And no, they would
not let them wear them ???????? there is no picking
out this mistake.
So we have 2 blouses that can't be worn to school!!!!
Always check twice before embroidering on
a garment.lol

  3. Oh dear, Judy, how tedious for you after all that work. Glad you have a sense of humour, I think I would as well, but only after having been crossy and grumpy for a few hours, lol's

    1. Ha Sarah... Honestly... I was a little cranky at first..My thought was, "what difference does school or academy make? why can't they wear them any way?"
But, then I calmed down and thought? well.. you know if you let them go against the codes, then the other kids will want to have their initials, or something else.?? so..
I just laughed at it, and who knows.. this summer I might decide to make an embroidered pocket to cover the letters??
But Sarah, you know what is a good thing? I used my stash..yea.

  4. That is too bad. The shirts are pretty, and it is a shame they will not be able to wear them.

    1. Diane.. on my embroidery machine, it won't hardly sew embroidery on top of embroidery, the thread is too thick , and it breaks.. but a good idea. thanks.
I am thinking about ,making a little pocket for the
yoke[embroider the pocket first?] What do you think/
