I Have a New Cake Plate.. -hints of Fall Decorating is coming!!

 My new Cake Plate..

Remember when , I posted that I wanted a glass
dome cake plate.. I found one on Martha Stewart's
web sight. It was scalloped  [like this one] and had
a clear glass dome.. Well...... Her  cake plate,
was ceramic, and very beautiful, but it also had
a hefty price tag..  I kept looking at thrift stores,
but never found one.. I was at Hobby Lobby last
week.. I found this pretty cake plate.. [It  does not
have a ceramic base, it is metal] . However, the
price tag was wonderful.. It was $44.95 and
had a 50% off sale.. So my cakeplate
was only $22.50

  10. I have been settling in as well, and finally found a place for my cake plates--I was getting worried in this tiny house:) I have 2 domed ones--one that is a pedestal and one that is on a flat plate. I've had them for years and they were from flea markets/yard sales, etc. (can't remember exactly where--but that kind of place). I use them a lot and especially love them for cupcakes, birthdays, other holidays, and any other time when I want to transport baked goods without saran wrap and toothpicks!! I usually take the flat one if I'm going in the car with it--travels better. I do love the white base on yours. Mine are all glass, and I love them, but the white sure looks pretty to me.

It's been great to get internet (finally) at my new house, and I have enjoyed catching up on your blog. I'm interested in seeing the little dresses! My sewing is SOOOO not happening yet, but I'm looking forward to being settled enough to get back to it, as I love to sew.
