Emily's Mission... Bring new Dresses to Every
Little Girl in the Children's Home.. Part 2
Emily [my soon to be 18 yr old granddaughter] has
a mission.. She wanted every little girl in the
Children's Home to have a new dress of their own.
She ask me to help her.. She took dresses to them
before Christmas[2016]. They were thrilled with the
dresses. And very appreciative.
S0---- When Spring time arrived , She
wanted to take them another dress. 💕 Emily is a special
girl.. She has a heart for people, who are in need. So very
proud of her .
I would like to say a special thank you to My and Emily's
friend, Diane Osborne. She donated most of the fabric for
these dresses.. We appreciate you . Hugs.
I would also like to say thank you to my daughter in law
Gina. She helped sew these dresses, and made this possible.
Emily and I appreciate you and love you.

ReplyDeleteThank you BLess. You are sweet..
DeleteThey are beautiful. Do you by any chance know how to make a couch cover?
ReplyDeleteThank you Danielle.
DeleteNo. I don't know how to make a couch cover.. One time [many years ago, I got the bright idea to re-upholster my couch and chair.. Bought the fabric.. tore the old off and oh my.......... what a job.. I soon discovered I did not know how to re-upholster furniture.. I had to cover with quilts for ever... until I could buy a new couch..Learned my lesson.lol
The dresses are so pretty. How many children are in the home? Are they in the states or overseas somewhere? Just curious, but it looks like a great project!
ReplyDeleteHi Becky,
DeleteIt is a really wonderful childrens home.. They are not federal funding. strickly donations and people giving of themselves.
It is in Mississippi. My granddaughter will be going to college close to it. So , she will be able to visit .She is very happy about that.
They have about 10 , very small houses in the block and each house has a married couple to over see the kids in that house.. They like to have no more than 6-7 kids per home, but sometimes they have up to 10.. They even have an apartment building [2-3 apt-] and the grown kids that were once in the home and now go to college can live there if thy choose.. So, I am not sure how many kids they have at the moment?
Thank you so much..It was a blessing to sew them for the girls and to help Emily with her mission.
The dresses look cute. How many did you make? Do they go overseas, or in the states? What a great project!
