Embroidered Vest for The Twins./Holiday Plans

Amy Grace-  13 yrs old

Ashlee Gail- 13 yrs old

The girls will be 13 in a few days.. So
hard to believe our babies have grown
up so fast.
I got my embroidery machine out [after
such a long time in hiding.  I embroidered
their initial on the vest.
Happy Birthday Girls..

Thanksgiving and  Christmas Clean up Plans
are still underway.. I got all the kitchen cabinets
washed - inside and out. [wow..I am proud this
is done!!].  Living room-- washed curtains [and
hung outside to dry]. Wiped the walls down,
wiped the couch/chairs with a damp cloth.
Now... I will be moving on to the bedrooms.

Holiday Plans
There is only 19 days until
Thanksgiving.. I hope to have all the
"extra" cleaning done before this holiday.
I have made my menu plans- I have bought
the turkey/ but need one more grocery store
shopping trip to pick up a  few items.
There is only 50 days until Christmas.. so many
to do  list on my planning sheet... Must get
to work..

Christmas shopping-- have you began your shopping?
Sad to say---- I have not bought the first thing!!
Since the grandchildren have gotten older,  money
seems to be the gift of choice..  Not so fun/ but
want to make them happy.☺

Have a great day and wishing you the best, as
you make preparations for your holidays.

  4. Oh I dislike the transition to money but like you say they enjoy it the most. They get what they want that way. The vests are very cute and I can tell that the girls love them. They both are so pretty.

I hate the transition to money too. No fun at all. But, you are right.. they reach that age, that money is what they want..

  6. I've only got a few small gifts so far, but am thinking about Christmas a little bit! I'm glad you are getting your cleaning done. I didn't get any of mine done this weekend--spent my time on other things. But, that's all good. I'll hopefully get some done this week:)

  7. Happy birthday to your twin granddaughters! Those vests are super cute! May I ask what type of fabric you used? I have a vest pattern that I haven't even opened yet - bought oh, about 20 years ago! :D

Well done on your cleaning! I have been trying to keep the living room, dining area, and family room tidy and dusted. That's all. Need to get to the other rooms before the end of the month!

Christmas...I've made a list - does that count? I need to make a batch of jam to give as gifts, but haven't got around to it, yet. Maybe over the Thanksgiving holidays - my daughter will be home and she can help.

  8. I know what you mean...I can't believe there are only 50 more days until Christmas!! We have started by putting in a Walmart layaway. At least, the stuff is picked out and reserved...all we have to do now is pay for it. LOL! But, we are making progress. God bless you, sweet friend. :)

    1. I think these holidays really just slipped up.. It was hot summer time, and it seemed like over night, it was a count down to Christmas. haha
I use to put stuff in the lay a way at walmart for my kids Christmas.. [and was so disappointed when they stopped it. Proud they started it back up.. great for people with little children.. hard to buy Santa claus early and keep it hid from nosey little helpers. smile.]
      God bless you too.

  9. The girls and their vests are darling! You are right, it is so hard to give to older kids and teens these days, so we have found Amazon gift cards to be the gift of choice for them. Hard to believe the holidays are upon us! You are doing well with all your deep cleaning, and planning, that is so exciting to have those things done. Blessings to you today :)

    2. I was so sad when I found out. I loved watching her. She made it all look so easy! Then I found a blog post that she wrote a few months ago when she knew she didn’t have much time left. She accepted it and seemed ready. She also spoke of her faith. RIP Nancy.
