Callie - 16 yrs old. heading off to school. She is now a senior. Wow.. that's hard to believe. She is a very sweet girl. She started school and made straight A's.. She made it through school with not a single B. So very proud of her. She is graduating a year early.. She never really liked school, and had rather start college early and Quote from her..." Get it over with asap". lol She called me last night, to tell me , she had made home coming court. She was excited, as she didn't know if she would even be allowed to , since she was graduating early..
God has really blessed Kenny and I with 2 wonderful kids and 5 grandchildren. As, we watch them grow up, there is a sadness, but also a very proud time too .. Seeing them serve the Lord and become adults. This is what God intended. And I am very thankful. |
Aww! They grow up so fast.
ReplyDeleteYes they do Dianna.. My two kids grew up and that was sad.. now.. the grandkids ..oH my... smile
DeleteShe is beautiful just like her grandma. Time moves swiftly unless you are trying to lose weight and there is chocolate cake upstairs and dinner is 2 hours away and you are hungry..... I also disliked school. It was so boring. Really didn't take to it until college and then took courses that would get me a degree that would make as much money as possible.
ReplyDeleteHa ha... oh yummy chocolate cake... Sometimes, wouldn't you like to skip the supper and just feed all of them the cake/ sounds good to me..lol
DeleteCallie definitely does not love school. Hope she enjoys college better?? I am proud we have a senior college in our town.. So , she can stay at home..
Aww she is just beautiful and smart! You are one blessed Grandma! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThank you Vickie... I feel so blessed.. and thankful.. You have a great day too.
DeleteGod is good, Judy! Your sweet Callie so grown up, and so ready for all the next things He has for her. Looking back, as well, my friend, D.
ReplyDeletethank you Deedy. Really difficult to look back, isn't it/ hugs.
DeleteMy goodness, life does pass by ever so quickly, doesn't it! How wonderful that for those five years you got to spend with Callie! It definitely made a difference for her, I am sure! She is a beautiful girl! She sounds like my daughter - who really disliked school, but now loves college. We are blessed that the college our kids attend is only an hour away, and so they have commuted for most of it. So thankful for the blessings of the Lord in your life!
ReplyDeleteThank you Marilyn. I hope she likes college too. I feel so blessed to have gotten to keep her , while mama worked.. We had such a fun time. God blessed us both.
DeleteAww...she is so pretty, and it sounds like she is such a good person, too. God has blessed you abundantly, my friend. May He continue to smile upon you and your family.

ReplyDeleteThank you Becky, It is such a blessing.
DeleteCallie is a credit to you all - and you all need to take credit for the part you played in her upbringing. After all, that is so very, very, important. I am sure there is much sadness, losing the child she was...
ReplyDeleteOh how sweet.. Thank you Sarahliz. I appreciate that. We are so very proud of her. She had a rough time with the epilepsy , they have finally got her meds regulated, and she has had no seizures for a year, so she was allowed to get her drivers license.. Which made her happy. She really worried about never being able to drive..
DeleteThey are great kids because of your parenting - kudos to you!
ReplyDeleteThank you Tomasa.. SO proud of them ..
