  2. Thankyou for adding to His honor by sewing lovely costumes for the pagent. Such an act of service shows your heart! Have a girl sized angel robe hanging in the attic-way... All white, with gold tinseled circle over the hanger. Can't recall which event it was for, but just can't part with it. My Nora wore it (about age 8?) She often spoke of 'my Jesus' meaning He was hers.... How she loved Christmas! Perhaps a grandaughter might wear the costume some day.

  3. Thank you Deedy, But, It is an honor for me to do these costumes.. I deserve no praise at all..
How special , that you have Nora's angel costume. I too, would never part with it.. I felt chills go down my spine when I read this.. I just know Sweet Nora is looking down from heaven and smiling at her sweet mom, remembering her wearing this costume, and the fun of that day. And the fun of Christmas. And I just bet, she will be grinning from ear to ear, when she sees that special grandchild wearing this costume...
Oh how I love her, "my Jesus". She was so right.. He is and was "her Jesus".. I promise you Deedy, I don't know alot of stuff, but I know He is taking care of Sweet Nora today.. sending hugs.

  4. Oh, dear Judy, I remember these days. One year, Josh was Joseph, Samuel was baby Jesus, and Dan was the innkeeper. Just as Dan said his one liner..."There's no room at the inn"...the whole stable/inn fell over on all three of them! Definitely a classic to remember!

Your costumes look wonderful. Thank you so much for being such a wonderful friend...and for all your prayers.

    With love,
    Laura

  5. Hi. I didn't see a way to contact you, so thought a comment might do the trick. :)
I publish a small digital magazine available weekly on Kindle called 'Tween Girls and God. It is full of themed devotionals, activities and articles for Christian 'tween girls. I use images published under the Creative Commons License for my covers, which are always of girls in our target audience of 9-12.
This month our theme is 'Encounters with Jesus'. I saw the picture of your daughter modeling the Mary/Martha costume and wondered if I could get permission to use it as a magazine cover. I will give her a 'thank you' in the acknowledgements and also thank you and provide a link to your blog.
I'm also always on the prowl for activities our girls can do. Do you have any sewing projects you'd like to have published in the magazine? Again, you would get full credit and a link back to your blig.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my request! Be blessed in your endeavors,
    Debby
PS We don't have a website; we sell through Amazon. I'm using that URL in the 'must have box'. If you go there the last week of February, it will be xzs\download. Contact me (if interested) at tggmag@gmail.com

  6. Hi!!
I publish a small digital magazine for Christian girls. Called 'Tween Girls and God, we offer devotionals, activities and articles in a themed fashion. March's theme is 'Encounters with Jesus' and is aobut Biblical encounters with the Savior. I need cover art of girls in our age range (9=12) in Biblical garb. I saw the picture of your daughter in the Mary/Martha costume and wondered if you'd give me permission to use it. on the cover of our magazine. I will thank her by first name only on the acknowledgements page and give a shout out to your blog, as well.
Also, I'm always looking for activities that are in the same category as our theme. Do you think girls in the 9-12 year old range could sew this costume? If so, I'd love to publish the blog and pattern. I'd give you credit as author and link the article back to your blog. Since many of our readers are homeschooled, I know their moms are reviewing the magazine before they look at it. The publicity for your blog might be helpful for you. I know the activity would be helpful for our girls!
If you'd like to see a copy of the magazine, check out my URL in my profile info. We don't have a website, so I put the link to the free magazine there. It will be free until Friday, 2/28, so if you'd like to see a copy before you contact me, that would be a good one to get.
Thank you for your prayerful consideration. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
    Blessings in your endeavors,
    Debby.
