Copy Cat Dresses-- McCalls 6547 subsituted for Jasmine Peek a Boo Pattern

Photobucket

Amy Grace  -- I made Amy's dress out of  orange
and white polka dot fabric and added white
ties to the shoulder. With white ric rack around it.

Amy & Ashlee
Ashlee's dress is made from green and white polka dot fabric.
My daughter bought the McCalls 6547 at  one of Hancock
Fabrics 99 cent sales. When I saw it, I thought, That
will work for this dress. I have  one cut out for Callie
too, just waiting on her to come for a fitting of the
elastic in the neck.

I copied these dresses from Justine, She made her daughter
and adorable blue chambray one. She used the peek a boo
pattern- Jasmine. Please go to her blog and check it out.

I like doing the twins alike... but different colors.. They are getting to the age, that doing identical, is fixing to "STOP"..lol

    2. Hehe just see how long you can get away with it they look so gorgeous in all your outfits. They may have to just alternate when they get over matching completely and at least they will have a heap of beautiful clothes and in different colours :)

    3. That's a great idea Erin.. however.... one is really feminine and loves her dresses, the other one has gotten to the point she does not like to wear a dress at all.. and I foresee any day, it ending and Mama and grandma can forget it.lol
She told me Easter..." Now Maw ,don't do a dress too girly, do me a boy one"' - now describe a boy one to me.ha

  5. Wow Judy. Your grandaughters are so beautiful! And the dresses are perfect on them. I prefer the pattern without the ruffles for this age group too!

    1. Thank you Stacy, The dresses were so simple/quick to make. I just cut me some straps for the other side.. the pattern I used didn't have straps.. [no big deal]..The original peek a boo patterns had straps. But, basically, they were alike.. I am thinking you could leave the elastic out of the waist, for a really comfy summer dress too.??
