Suspender skirts made
from upholstery fabric.
I got the idea for these
skirts from Sew Country
Chic. She makes some
really cute clothes for
her daughters and herself.
Center strap added to keep the shoulder strap from falling off shoulders. Justine's idea for this was great. http://www.sewcountrychick.com/2012/10/a-folksy-suspender-skirt.html |
Very cute - they look very happy with their new skirts! You must be their favourite grandparent!!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I think they were pretty happy indeed..
DeleteWhat adorable skirts! Your granddaughters are very lucky. And I love the idea to keep the straps for slipping down.
ReplyDeleteThank you Dianna. I loved that idea for the straps too. I am going to do one for my other granddaughter too.
DeleteOhhh aren't they the cutest...

ReplyDeleteThank you.. It is a lovely day here.. A little cool, but the falling leaves are so pretty..
DeleteToo cute, Judy! I love the idea of using upholstery fabric...it will wear well for a long time...and the choices are just so pretty! The center strap idea is fabulous...sort of reminds me of a Heidi-look! Your granddaughters are so beautiful...grammie must just swallow them up in hugs all the time!
ReplyDeleteWith love,
Laura
Thank you Laura.. Some one in my son's church, gave this roll of unholsery fabric to me. I really didn't know what to do with it. I cut off a couple yards and put in the washer [to test how it would wash and feel?].It was just perfect!!
DeleteLove them hugs... I get plenty from 5 grandkids.ha
Super adorable x two!
